Jambalaya
Ok, this is one of my husband’s favorite meals, Jambalaya! This year, I made it on Fat Tuesday! It was delicious and had the perfect kick. We can’t wait to make it again!
For this recipe you’ll need:
💜 1 white onion
💚 2 red bell peppers
💜 2 ribs of celery
💚 2 chicken breasts
💜 1 pound andouille sausage
💚 1 pound of shrimp
💜 1 bag of thin white rice
💚 1 bay leaf
💜 2 tablespoons of creole seasoning
💚 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
💜 1 teaspoon dried thyme
💚 4 cloves of garlic
💜 salt and pepper to taste
💚 14oz crushed tomatoes
💜 4 cups chicken stock
To make:
1️⃣ cook chicken and brown sausage and set aside.
2️⃣ sauté veggies and garlic
3️⃣ add crushed tomatoes, rice, and chicken stock, and seasoning. Cook for 20 mins
4️⃣ add shrimp and cook till pink
5️⃣ Add Chicken and sausage. Remove the bay leaf.
6️⃣ garnish with parsley
7️⃣ enjoy!
You can add jalapeños for more heat, but we didn’t because of Palmer. We made this delicious meal with our Caraway Home cookware. We have a few of their pans and love the way they cook! The marigold is my favorite!
