Palmer’s Pizzeria
Palmer’s first birthday was such a special day, and I had so much fun planning it. Truth be told, I saw a party like this on Instagram when I was 38 weeks pregnant, and well let’s just say it’s been planned ever since.
I had the pleasure of working with some amazing vendors and was able to snag a lot of the decor I needed off of Amazon. I truly believe it’s the little details at a party that leave the biggest impression. From the custom apron’s made for the party favors, to the cut-outs of Palmer sprinkled throughout, it’s a day I’ll never forget!
When planning for this theme, I knew immediately that I would want a red gingham dress. I tried this one from Amazon, but ended up getting this one instead. Amazon actually had a lot of choices! The boys wore matching pizza shirts from this cute shop on Etsy! I loved that Palmer’s had one slice for hist first birthday!
Speaking of Etsy, I got so lucky when looking for Pizza themed decor! I was able to find a few custom pieces that really added some personality! This shop created an adorable garland for his monthly pictures. I had originally planned to do the one you see all over the internet, but the fact that this was specifically made for a pizza theme sold me! Another special detail was the water bottle labels and color sheets inside of the party favors. Hadley Designs had an idea for every detail. Their Instagram is so fun and they have a theme for EVERYTHING!
Now for my favorite part….. the prints and cut-outs of Palmer. I seriously would keep them up all year if I could. I ordered Palmer’s invites from The Printer Fairy. She also made me a cut-out of his face from the invite so I could display it on the brick wall. It looked incredible!
I stumbled upon Lily Pad Boutique Store on Instagram and was beyond thrilled when I saw she did the same theme for her twins. Alisha and Christina were a pleasure to work with and made some of the cutest prints. These included the big cut-out of Palmer, the welcome sign, and his stats poster (keeping this forever 🥲).
Obviously Amazon is beyond convenient, so I was happy to find most of the essentials such as the plasticware, balloon garland, helium tank, brick paper, red/white awnings, slice slice baby balloons, the red backdrop, his high chair skirt, and the table cloths! We also for these cute ONE boxes for hist first birthday photoshoot which turned out ADORABLE!
Last but not least, I can’t forget about the amazing vendors that made this part so special. Gepetto pizzas were a hit and I am currently trying to find the next party to host just so I can work with them again. Their pizza was to die for! The best part was they were individual-sized and perfect for each guest! I was a little nervous about having a bounce house, but ultimately it was the right choice. It was such a great activity for the kids. The big kids loved it just as much as the babies. Although Palmer couldn’t fully enjoy it, he LOVED the slide. Inflate Twenty Eight was so fun to work with and I hope to have them again at another birthday party. Lastly, Liz’s Sweet Delights made all of the treats and they were delicious. The cake was exactly what I wanted and the cookies were so cute! Luckily she lives close by, so I will definitely be re-ordering.
I know they say first birthday parties are more about the parents, but I hope Palmer looks back on these pictures and sees how special it was for him. As crazy as it sounds, I am already planning the theme for his second birthday… any guesses?!
